The person will coordinate operations in assigned region to increase efficiencies and revenue.
Oversee assigned warehouse operations and delivery of customer orders with Warehouse Assistant.
Be customer focal point for product call-offs under active contracts. Assist Sales with tenders when required
Coordinate, maintain and review regional inventory levels covering both Varel Egypt and GUPCO/AGIBA consignment stock with Operations Manager. Follow company safety policies and proceduresESSENTIAL DUTIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Supports Sales in assigned region. Coordination of pricing, lead times, and quality assurance requirements. Responds to cost and lead time requests. Be customer focal point for product call-offs under active contracts Reviews and approves all Varel Egypt Purchase Orders alongside Operations Supervisor and Manager.
- Assists with expediting all regional Operations activities with internal stakeholders (i.e. PDR, EVR, NCRs, order updates, forecast) Coordinates 3rd party product procurement where applicable.
- Manages regional inventory levels, performs inventory stock counts when necessary, communicates with sales team daily regarding needs and utilization. Coordinates with Warehouse Assistant and assists with regional logistics and customs requirements within Egypt Freezone.
- Reviews sales order and intercompany requirements. Coordinate and review incoming customer PO’s (purchase orders) and Call-Off Requirements with Sales and Operations Department. Ensures adherence to necessary purchase controls such as quality plans.
- Coordinate product service and rentals where applicable
- Coordinates and performs movements in SAP system ensuring accuracy when jobs move to customer locations and rig sites. Supports work process documentation and optimization.
- Assists operations management preparing regional product forecast reports and creates regional operations reports.
- Coordinates with and supports other region operations teams as required. Support regional manufacturing as required. Assists and supports regional partners, JV’s, suppliers and facilities.
- Travels to Egypt Warehouse and Customer Locations as needed to support the sales effort and ensure inventory accuracy via physical stock count

Ability to:
- Provide sales support, coordinate sales order, and inventory processes in assigned region.
- Exhibit strong customer service.
- Review sales orders, compare with contract requirements, identify and correct inconsistencies.
- Work effectively and diplomatically with all levels of the organization and within a multi-cultural environment.
- Utilize strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Demonstrate competency with operational analysis, quantitative skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Show proficiency with business software applications and perform accurate data input.
- Comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Show strong proficiency with Excel, Word, and SAP is desirable but not essential as training provided
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred.
- Knowledge of sales, operations and inventory management process as well as a basic understanding of primary cementing equipment
- Knowledge of international logistics, customers, and trade compliance. Understanding of common industry metrics such as cubic meters, revenue tons, metric tons, rudimentary export compliance, hazardous material quantities per conveyance, etc.
- Sound understanding of business linkages and the ramifications that decisions can have.
- Typically, at least five years of experience in sales support, operations and or inventory management
- Experience with ERP (SAP preferred) and sales, inventory, and logistics-related applications.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry strongly preferred.
