We’re interested in getting to know you and what you bring to the table!Project & Development Services - MENAJLL (P&DS) MENA provides consulting, design, management and build services to tenant and owners, leveraging technology and digital solutions to drive outstanding service delivery.We bring a life-cycle perspective to our clients, from development solutions to our core services in programme, project and cost management and consulting in digital solutions, tenancy management, sustainability, leisure & entertainment, and workplace & design.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join our PDS team in Egypt. This is a leadership role that involves managing cost consultancy services across the full project lifecycle, from initial budgeting through to final account settlement. The successful candidate will lead a team of junior professionals while delivering high-quality cost management and quantity surveying services for real estate projects. This position offers excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression within a dynamic international environment.What This Job Involves
  • Demonstrating excellent take-off skills with emphasis on both accuracy and speed
  • Preparing budgets, pre-contract cost estimates, and multi-stage cost plans as required
  • Preparing comprehensive tender evaluation reports and bills of quantities
  • Preparing detailed pre-tender cost estimates and contract documents
  • Reviewing and negotiating prices with contractors and subcontractors
  • Reviewing monthly payment valuations and ensuring accurate project billing
  • Managing project change control processes for all additional works
  • Pricing and checking additional works and post-contract cost estimates, including validation and quantification processes
  • Reviewing costings in conjunction with established budgets
  • Preparing final accounts and participating in the cost reporting process
  • Attending site meetings and design team meetings as required
  • Leading and mentoring a team of junior professionals and graduates • Taking leadership roles as part of personal development planning • Representing the company professionally in all client and stakeholder interactions.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams of junior and graduate professionals
  • Hardworking, proactive individual with strong desire to learn and progress
  • Demonstrated experience in the real estate sector with attention to detail and passion for high standards
  • Excellent pre and post-contract technical cost and commercial management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities
  • Excellent prioritization and self-management skills with ability to work in high-pressure environments
  • Strong knowledge and track record in IT-based solutions application
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with cost estimation and quantity surveying software (CostX, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or Candy advantageous)
  • Degree in related subject (BSc Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil, Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent)
  • Associate/Member RICS qualification or currently in process (advantageous)
  • Experience in construction, fit-out, and/or renovation projects preferred
  • Middle East experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to align team responsibilities with business targets through senior management reporting.
