Job Title: Project Manager
Reports to: Regional Project Manager– Africa
Location: Egypt, 6th of October CityPURPOSE OF THE WORK
Directly responsible for driving the successful execution of projects, in accordance with the department's vision and objectives.DIMENSIONS OF THE WORK

- Delivering superior customer service, first time, on time, every time, on budget and with the right quality.
- Directly responsible for leading and managing the successful execution of the project in accordance with the department's vision and objectives, contract conditions, COMPANY procedures, processes and work instructions.
- Assigned Projects Contract Management.
- Update, approval and distribution of the contract summary.
- Closure of all contract review internal comments with an accepted resolution.
- Calculating, spool costing, reporting, and defending against potential risks and claims.
- Project planning, progress control documentation and reporting.
- Weekly and monthly reporting for the client with engineering, production and purchasing progress.
- Quoting project variations and amend the contract.
- Documentation and recording of contract execution activities.
- Ensure delivery of client deliverables; plans, procedures, calculation notes, according to VDRL
- Ensure monitoring of contractual deadlines and scope of work as dictated in the contract.
- Ensure coordination for the delivery of guarantees between the COMPANY finance department and those of the client.
- Ensure monthly financial statements with the Client.
- Tracking of shipments and control with third party control at ports and upon arrival of goods on site.
Controlled authority for:
- Negotiate and accept a change order.
- Initiate production, purchase or service pending modification of the customer's order based on a formal mutual agreement.
- Cancel an arrears in whole or in part, based on an official cancellation order from the customer in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
- Reserve and deliver items and services for free.
- Negotiate and accept claims.
- Ensures distribution of project documents to the client and COMPANY project organization as required in the document distribution matrix.
- Identifies, documents and coordinates all project variations.
- Controls the documentation of variations.
- Quotes for all variations.
- Obtains approval for acceptance of additional work or cancellation of work.
- Updates the contract baseline after approval of the quote and variation order.
- Ensures follow-up of the approved variation purchase order.
- Updates, reviews and manages the calendar, across the organization and the Client
- Ensures monitoring, management and reporting of project progress
- Agree with the client on the content of the client project report.
- Customer Project Report Issues
- Inputs Internal reports and other unit project reports at UPRJ
- The PM will send the publication request by email for the request for proposals to the SSC-PS with the necessary documentation.
- The PM requests approval of the priced BOQ from the Client.
- Monitors updates to the RFP documentation.
- Ensures effective communication between COMPANY's internal management departments, the client and other external parties
- The PM is copied on all project correspondence.
- Responsible for monitoring email distribution and escalation policy
- Represents COMPANY during the kick-off meeting and commit to the actions requested by the client.
- Represents COMPANY in project meetings with internal and external parties
- Chairs of COMPANY internal project meetings
- Designates the note taker, or he/she writes the minutes himself/herself
- Plans the meeting agenda.
- Review the MOM draft by the note taker.
- Sign/validate and communicate the MOM.
- Informs the organization through visit reports.
- Reviews from other Visit Reports
- Lead and manage project claims, opportunities, risks, NCRs and lessons learned
- Identify, communicate and escalate unresolved issues to UPRJ and PGM
- Identification of project risks through contract summary during submission and update
- Interface and management with QC, validation of customer complaints
- Document control, follow-up and escalation, if necessary
- Immediate rectification of valid complaints against the customer
- Contribute to root cause analysis and planning of improvement actions related to the project
- Monitoring of issues related to assigned projects and prompt resolution of customer complaints
- Support problem solving
- Maintains the customer communications file
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance and archiving of project management files, in accordance with the procedure.
- Identify, define and communicate project document control requirements, including appearance, numbering, distribution, MRB and recording of project documents.
- Control of VDRL and MRB index content.
- Verification of the application of the procedure by the Project Support and COMPANY organization.
- If project support is not available, the PM is responsible for controlling project documents.
- Be responsible for documents sent to the client and ensure tracking of versions and updates.
- Manages project closing conditions.
- Manages project closure in LN.
- Ensure the financial closure of the project up to the last invoice and the release of performance guarantees.
- Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting and QHSE performance review as required
- Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions
- Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks
- Report dangerous acts, incidents or safety violations
Internal: Project Planning, Legal, Sales, RFPs & Proposals, AVE, Purchasing, SSC, Production, QA/QC, Stores, Delivery, Field Services & Finance.
External: Customers, Third Parties, Suppliers, Subcontractors, EDFI & ENOIAQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSQualifications:
- A degree in mechanical, civil or industrial engineering
- Preferably a PMP certification
- Project management and/or piping, mechanics, supply chain, products and business processes.
- On-site project management.
- Team management.
- Management of contractual terms and conditions.
- Fluent English and French, both written and spoken.
- Preferably, fluency in the local language, both written and spoken.
- MS Office, and preferably MS Project.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
