Job Description Summary:We are looking for a Contracts Supervisor (Team Leader), with substantial experience in contract drafting and pre-/post-award contract administration, to join its team. In this key role, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of company contracts, varied between FIDIC Suite forms and company's Ad-hoc forms, such as engineering design and consultancy contracts, construction contracts, purchase orders, supply agreements, corporate contracts, and commercial contracts. Moreover, candidates should possess sufficient experience in assessing and evaluating claims, and dispute resolution. A successful candidate must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, in addition to being able to track and follow-up workflow efficiently.Business Line:Corporate & Technical Contracts – Legal and ComplianceKey Roles and Responsibilities:Review and Follow-up of workflow:Ensure smooth and seamless review and issuance workflow for assigned agreements.Adequate tracking of contract requests and deviations therefrom.Contract Pre-Award and Management:Review of bidders’ queries and preparation of tender clarifications/bulletins.Assessment of tender offers contractually and assistance in preparing contract assessment reports.Responsible for the drafting, tailoring, reviewing, and negotiations of construction contracts, design contracts, consultancy service agreements, and others.Negotiation of contractual qualifications and conditions of contracts.Prepare, negotiate, execute, and administer the company's technical and corporate contracts.Preparation and review of commercial agreements related to operators.Follow up on the contracts’ signature process.Risk Management and Corporate Compliance:Assess the risks associated with various contracts and propose risk mitigation strategiesAssuring compliance with the legal framework, governance framework, organizational policies, procedures, and subsequent delegations.Record Keeping and Reporting:Developing and maintaining all contracts’ logs and records.Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as may be needed.Asset and Procedures Enhancement:Assist in the enhancement of the department’s standardized forms and procedures.Contract Dispute Resolution:Review claim settlements to ensure compliance with established contractual terms, company procedures, and corporate governance.RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
  • MUST be holding a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • MUST be proficient in both English and Arabic languages.
  • MUST have excellent writing skills, especially business writing and punctuation.
  • MUST have excellent knowledge of FIDIC contracts and have been using them (both drafting and administration) for at least 7 years.
  • MUST have good knowledge of the Egyptian Civil Code and other laws and legislations of Egypt and have had sufficient experience dealing with them.
  • MUST have excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • HIGHLY PREFERRED to possess sufficient experience and be acquainted with corporate governance mechanisms.
  • HIGHLY PREFERRED to have recognized contract management, civil code, and commercial code-related courses.
  • HIGHLY PREFERRED to have attended contract formation and legal drafting courses.
  • PREFERRED to have claims and dispute resolution experience.
  • PREFERRED be a resident of Shiekh Zayed or 6th of October.
Minimum Years of Experience:A minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience is required, with at least 7 years of hands-on expertise in contract drafting and administration. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in construction project management.Desired Characteristics and Skills:
