Job Category: R&M SPECIALISTJob Description:In addition to the inspection, testing and qualification, repair and maintenance of field tools, the R&M Specialist - TRS role performs preventive & corrective maintenance, retrofit and upgrade diesel-powered and electrical-powered equipment. The role performs these tasks using Company guidelines, technical work instructions, test procedures, schematics, engineering notices, and best practices to complete the scope of functions where required under the direction and supervision of a senior R&M Specialist, Lead Specialist or Supervisor.Responsibilities:

Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered equipment.
Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical-powered equipment.
Performing routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks as well as diagnosing and repairing engine, electrical, and fuel system issues.
Identifying the root cause of problems in diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
Responding to emergency situations to restore power or functionality of equipment, often in fields and at remote basis.
Ensuring that all equipment and systems meet safety standards and regulations, including proper grounding
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including work orders and parts used.
Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools
Maintains equipment, facilities, and work area in a presentable and safe working condition

Required:

Strong understanding of diesel engine operation, electrical systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems and related components
Experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to work with heavy machinery and equipment
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing work environments.
Adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
Knowledge about computerized maintenance systems will be an advantage
Ability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions.
