As the UN’s development agency, UNDP plays a critical role in helping countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.Context:Digital engagement is increasingly playing a crucial role in UNDP’s response to global shifts in the fields of communication, resource mobilization, advocacy, and development. Effective use of the various digital channels helps communicate UNDP’s key messages through relevant content, interactive experiences, and dialogue. This allows individuals to connect with our work directly, thus creating valuable relationships with online and offline users. By creating shareable and compelling visual content, UNDP Egypt aims to strengthen engagement through its digital platforms to help position UNDP as a thought leader, expand outreach and broaden engagement.Task type:Art and DesignTask description:We are looking for 2 Online Volunteer who, under the guidance of the UNDP Egypt Communication Analyst and in close collaboration with the communications team, will support us by producing video content for UNDP Egypt’s different portfolios & programmes (Inclusive Growth & Innovation, Environment & Social Inclusion, and Local Development) in addition to content relevant to the CO’s new Country Programme Document.
In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to:- Collect information on the background of the videos such as target audience, style, branding guidelines, and key messages.- Support in the preparation and generation of video content for UNDP Egypt social media platforms.- Create draft edits based on requirements and discuss with the focal point/communications team.- Develop the videos according to agreed requirements and UNDP corporate branding guidelines.- Produce 10 short-form social media reels (up to 60 seconds) tailored for different platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram Posts & Stories).- Produce 10 long-form videos (up to 3 minutes each) highlighting UNDP Egypt’s work, achievements, and the new Country Programme Document.
The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the communications team at UNDP Egypt andRequirements:Candidates should have professional experience in video editing and production, with previous experience in creating both short-form and long-form video content for social media. They must have in-depth knowledge of video editing applications such as (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, or similar tools), as well as good verbal and written communication skills. A degree in film, media production, communications, or a related field is considered an asset.Work Hours: 16 - 20 hours per week
