- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Assist with year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
- Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Working towards CPA is an asset.
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience. Supervisory role is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
- Strong leadership skills with dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques.
- Experience with financial systems such as QuickBooks is an asset.
- Proficient in English (at least B1 level).
- Proven experience working with QuickBooks accounting software.
- Working days are from Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (on-site).
- Friday and Sunday are half working days from home.
- Saturday is a full day off.
