Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager ready to be a leader in our tax division. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the tax department, ensuring exceptional service delivery to clients, and supporting the internal team. The Tax Manager will collaborate closely with the partners to ensure client satisfaction and profitability while managing and mentoring the tax team and assisting with business development efforts.   • Timely Delivery: Ensure assignments are completed on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes.

  • Client Engagement: Maintain enthusiasm for tax services and effectively manage client relationships.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Staff Management: Effectively manage and motivate staff in a hybrid-remote work environment.
  • Project Management: Seamlessly transition between multiple clients and projects.
  • Adaptability: Adjust schedule based on departmental workload and manage tight deadlines and unexpected challenges.
  • Technology Utilization: Use various technology solutions to enhance team and client efficiencies.
  • Client Satisfaction: Maintain unwavering commitment to client satisfaction and uphold the firm's brand.
RequirementsEssential Skills:
  • Internal and external client satisfaction.
  • Relationship management with top clients and business development prospects.
  • Collaboration with the Partner to ensure profitability and high client satisfaction.
  • Staffing and resource planning/management.
  • Technology tracking for ongoing client engagements.
  • Support for the performance review process.
  • Contribution to team education and development.
  • Fostering a positive team environment with incentives for high performance.
  • Evaluation and implementation of new technology recommendations and strategies.
  • Growing knowledge of firm products and services within the tax division and general knowledge of other firm practice areas.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 5+ years of tax experience in private/public accounting, working with clients in the $1-$50 million annual revenue range.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing staff in a hybrid environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Positive "can-do" attitude and a team player.
  • Advanced MS Suite skills (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and knowledge of other platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of specific industries relevant to the firm.
  • Knowledge of CCH Axcess preferred.
