- Identify emerging trends and incorporate them into category plans to remain relevant and innovative.
- Collaborate with merchants to align on long-term goals and category expansions.
- Analyze category performance and identify high-potential growth opportunities.
- Optimize pricing, promotions, to drive GMV (Gross Merchandise Value).
- Implement strategies to increase customer conversion rates and retention within the category.
- Regularly monitor competitor performance and trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Leverage analytics and dashboards to track category performance metrics like sales, customer satisfaction, and merchant performance.
- Identify underperforming products or merchants and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure competitive pricing by monitoring merchant pricing strategies and market trends.
- Collaborate with merchants to establish win-win promotions that drive sales while ensuring profitability.
- Encourage merchants to offer exclusive deals or bundles that attract more customers to the platform.
- Provide merchants with performance insights to help them improve their competitive positioning.
- Oversee the implementation of category-specific tech solutions, ensuring they enhance the merchant and customer experience.
- Partner with the marketing team to design category-specific events that engage customers and increase visibility.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional team deliverables for all category initiatives.
- Partner with customer service to address category-specific pain points and enhance the customer experience.
- Align with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that boost category visibility and sales.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment on business changes, ensuring positive outcomes for Market Place and its merchant
- Regularly review merchant performance based on quality metrics like delivery times, product accuracy, and customer feedback.
- Implement an escalation process for merchants who fail to meet quality expectations, including corrective action plans.
- University Degree
- Min 4 years of experience
- Experience in the commercial/trading function of an e-commerce marketplace, digital platform, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of e-commerce sales drivers.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset;
- Comfortable generating and evaluating forecasts, metrics, and analyses to measure and act on trading performance.
