General Accountant

• Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries in accordance with accounting principles.
• Prepare accurate financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a monthly basis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate billing.
• Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and project budgets regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting for various construction projects.
• Monitor project costs and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and financial regulations.
• Work closely with project managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis as required.
• Stay updated with accounting regulations and best practices relevant to the construction industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various teams.
• Experience with cost accounting and job costing in a construction setting is preferred.
