Proteinea is a pioneering TechBio company that is redefining protein engineering through artificial intelligence and computational biology. Headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, with offices in the USA, Germany, UAE and KSA, we specialize in designing next-generation antibody therapeutics using AI-driven platforms. Our proprietary technologies, including our industry-leading protein language model, Ankh, enable us to develop precision-engineered biologics faster, at lower costs, and with higher success rates than traditional methods. At Proteinea, we integrate cutting-edge AI models, proprietary datasets, and state of the art wet-lab validation to accelerate the discovery and development of therapeutic proteins. Our work focuses on engineering antibodies with optimized efficacy, safety, and manufacturability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, execute, and analyze complex multi-parameter flow cytometry experiments for immunophenotyping, cell-based assays, and intracellular staining in autoimmune disease models and IgG therapeutic evaluations.
- Develop and optimize advanced immunology assays (e.g., ELISA, cytokine profiling, functional T-cell/B-cell assays) to study autoimmune mechanisms and therapeutic responses.
- Create and refine flow cytometry panels and immunological assay protocols to characterize immune responses and IgG-mediated effects in autoimmune research.
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets from flow cytometry and immunology assays using specialized software (e.g., FlowJo, FCS Express, GraphPad Prism), presenting actionable insights to guide autoimmune research and drug discovery.
- Isolate, culture, and analyze primary immune cells (e.g., PBMCs, T cells, B cells) and cell lines for flow cytometry and immunology assay applications.
- Maintain meticulous, GLP-compliant laboratory records, documenting protocols and experimental outcomes for both flow cytometry and immunology assays.
- Troubleshoot and optimize flow cytometry and immunological assay techniques to ensure data quality, reproducibility, and robustness.
- Contribute to scientific reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications on autoimmunity, flow cytometry, and immunology assay findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance autoimmune disease research and IgG-based therapeutic development.
- Ph.D. in Immunology or a related field with a strong focus on autoimmunity; M.Sc. with extensive relevant experience may be considered.
- Deep expertise in autoimmune disease mechanisms, demonstrated through research, publications, or drug discovery projects.
- Advanced proficiency in multi-parameter flow cytometry, including experimental design, sample preparation, data acquisition, and analysis using platforms such as BD Fortessa, CytoFLEX, or FACSymphony.
- Proven experience in designing and optimizing advanced immunology assays (e.g., ELISA, cytokine profiling, T-cell/B-cell functional assays) for autoimmune research or therapeutic development.
- Proficiency in analytical software (e.g., FlowJo, FCS Express, GraphPad Prism) and strong skills in interpreting complex datasets from flow cytometry and immunology assays.
- Extensive experience isolating and culturing primary immune cells (e.g., PBMCs, T cells, B cells) and cell lines for flow cytometry and immunological assays.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize flow cytometry and immunology assay protocols for enhanced data quality and reliability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with IgG-focused drug discovery or therapeutic development.
- Knowledge of autoimmune disease mechanisms and their application to in vitro model.
- Ownership – We take initiative and follow through on our commitments.
- Curiosity – We ask questions, seek understanding, and never stop learning.
