Job Description:PRE SALES ENGINEER Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems

Location : Cairo
Division: Energy Efficiency Division Grade:
Reporting to: Division Manager
Direct Subordinates:

Job main scope:responsible for providing technical support, preparing tenders, and managing the bid process for PV system projects. The role requires expertise in system design, cost estimation, and effective communication with clients to ensure successful project delivery.Minimum required educational level:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.Key Responsibilities

Tender Preparation: Prepare and manage detailed tenders for PV system projects, ensuring all technical, financial, and commercial aspects are accurately addressed.
System Design & Sizing: Utilize tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and other relevant software to design and size PV systems based on customer requirements and site conditions.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and consultancy during the presales phase to customers, understanding their needs and recommending optimal solutions for PV systems.
Cost Estimation & Quotation: Develop accurate cost estimates, including material, labor, and operational costs, and provide clear quotations to clients.
Document Control: Manage and control all tender-related documentation, ensuring proper organization, version control, and timely updates.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to clarify project specifications, gather necessary information, and address any technical or commercial queries.
Proposal Development:
Work closely with the sales and project teams to develop competitive, high-quality proposals, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
Market Analysis:
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the PV industry to provide the best possible solutions to clients.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess project risks, proposing solutions and mitigation strategies to ensure the success of the project.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution from presales to handover.

Pre-requisite skills Qualifications & training:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
Proven experience in presales, tendering, and design of PV systems.
Strong knowledge of PV system design software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and 3D modeling tools (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max).
Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in PV systems.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document control software.
Knowledge of costing, financial analysis, and project management principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in solar power generation or renewable energy projects.
Certification in PV system design or other relevant certifications.
Multilingual skills (preferred).
