Octopus and Robusta are building a bridge between Europe and Africa, creating tailored hub solutions to connect companies with top talent across the globe.RequirementsOne of our leading regional consumer commerce platform partners is seeking to hire a talented and detail-oriented UI Designer to join our product team and help craft intuitive, visually compelling user interfaces across web and mobile platforms. In this role, you’ll transform product requirements and user insights into elegant design solutions, collaborating closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers throughout the design process.Key Responsibilities:User Interface Design:

Understand product requirements and user needs, translating them into high-quality UI solutions.
Create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes that align with our brand and user experience standards.
Ensure consistency and usability across interfaces by building and maintaining scalable design systems.
Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and development cycle.
Bring a strong visual eye to detail, ensuring designs are not just functional, but delightful.

User-Centered Process:

Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B tests to validate design decisions.
Use insights and data to iterate on designs and improve the user experience over time.
Balance business goals with user needs to ensure designs are both practical and user-friendly.

Strategic Contribution:

Participate in product strategy, roadmapping, and planning discussions.
Align design work with team and company OKRs, ensuring measurable impact.
Contribute ideas that elevate both the visual and functional quality of the product.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of UI design experience or a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
Proficient in design tools like Figma (or similar).
Solid understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, and responsive design.
Strong grasp of user flows and interaction patterns for web and mobile platforms.
Experience working with or building design systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background or experience in e-commerce, Q-commerce, or similar industries.
Familiarity with motion design, animations, or illustration work is a big plus.
Logical problem-solver with strong attention to user journey and UX best practices.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
