- Analyze and prioritize system requirements, identifying conflicts, gaps, and inconsistencies to support the development of robust and comprehensive requirements specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that system requirements align with project objectives, standards, and regulatory requirements, and facilitate requirements reviews and approval processes.
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices and manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior requirements engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement in requirements engineering processes.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in requirements engineering within the rail and metro industry, with a focus on system integration and compliance with safety-critical standards.
- Proven track record of leading requirements engineering efforts for large-scale rail or metro projects, demonstrating proficiency in requirement management tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex system requirements and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with safety-critical standards and regulations specific to rail and metro systems (e.g., EN 50126, CENELEC).
- Experience with requirements management tools, such as IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of system modeling and simulation tools, such as SysML or similar platforms.
- Understanding of industry-specific technologies, such as positive train control (PTC), signaling systems, and automatic train control (ATC).
