- Oversee the daily operation of the data center, ensuring system reliability, high availability, and minimal downtime.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for power, cooling, and network systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for infrastructure health and efficiency.
- Assess current and future data center capacity needs, including power, cooling, and space utilization.
- Plan for hardware upgrades, expansions, and migrations to align with business growth.
- Ensure proper asset tracking and inventory management of IT and facility equipment.
- Enforce physical and logical security measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2, or other applicable standards.
- Conduct periodic security audits, risk assessments, and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Supervise and develop data center staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to operational procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure timely support and service-level agreement (SLA) compliance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Optimize energy consumption and cooling strategies to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability.
- Implement automation and monitoring tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Track and manage budgetary expenditures related to the data center, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Qualifications required for the job title to carry out the work:
- Educational Level Bachelors degree Information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Language Skills Very good in English
- Work Experience 10+ Years
- Understanding of power systems (UPS, generators, PDUs), cooling systems (HVAC, CRAC/CRAH), and fire suppression technologies.
- Knowledge of physical and virtualized servers, storage solutions (SAN, NAS), and networking protocols (LAN, WAN, VLANs, BGP, MPLS).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, access controls, monitoring tools, and regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Experience in backup strategies, failover mechanisms, redundancy planning, and disaster recovery site management.
- Proficiency in data center monitoring tools (DCIM, SNMP, ITSM), automation (scripting, AI-driven ops), and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Authorities:
- IT Infrastructure, Systems, Network, Database and Backup at the data center
