By providing tailored hubs to suit its clients needs, Octopus gives companies all the advantages of remote work and offshoring without all the negatives.We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and a strong background in applied Machine Learning. The ideal candidate will have built real-world production systems using LLMs and other ML models, and is capable of both development and client-facing collaboration. This is a hands-on technical role, requiring proven experience in delivering end-to-end GenAI solutions—not just prototypes.Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy scalable ML/LLM-powered solutions using APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Gemini) and open-source models (e.g. LLaMA, Mistral).
Fine-tune and adapt open-source LLMs for domain-specific use cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into production systems.
Solve complex NLP and ML problems using statistical, neural, or hybrid methods.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in GenAI and LLMs and apply them in practical scenarios.
Engage with international teams and potentially support client-facing initiatives.

Requirements

1.5+ years of hands-on experience specifically with LLMs and GenAI (2+ preferred).
Experience working with LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Gemini) and open-source models (e.g. LLaMA, Mixtral).
Proven track record of shipping production systems using LLMs—not just POCs.
Experience fine-tuning LLMs or other open-source models.
4+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning (excluding internships or academic research).
Strong NLP experience and familiarity with other areas of machine learning.
