- Participate in the design, modification, and upgrade of mechanical components and systems for various textile machinery (e.g., spinning machines)
- Analyze machine performance and identify areas for mechanical improvement and optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Select appropriate materials, components, and fabrication methods for mechanical applications in a textile environment.
- Develop and implement robust preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment, including regular inspections, and parts replacement schedules.
- Lead and execute complex mechanical repairs and troubleshooting of textile machinery breakdowns, quickly diagnosing issues related to gears, bearings, shafts, motors, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes of mechanical failures.
- Oversee the mechanical installation and commissioning of new textile machinery, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and integration with existing systems.
- Conduct performance tests on newly installed or repaired equipment.
- Manage and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in textile machinery.
- Oversee the mechanical aspects of utility systems ensuring their efficient and safe operation.
- Conduct regular mechanical safety audits and risk assessments.
- Identify critical spare parts for textile machinery and manage inventory levels to minimize downtime.
- Liaise with suppliers for parts procurement and technical support.
- Collaborate closely with production teams, electrical engineers, and maintenance technicians to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff on mechanical systems and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 4-8 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Engineer specifically within the textile manufacturing industry (Cotton Spinning)
- Proven expertise in the mechanical systems and components of textile machinery.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles.
- Solid experience with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in Arabic and English.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
